One-line description

Questyz is a real-world quest marketplace where workers keep 100% of every cash reward.

01The hook

Questyz is a worker-friendly alternative to TaskRabbit, Fiverr, and Thumbtack, built from the ground up around a structural fee inversion: workers (Heroes) keep 100% of every cash reward, while patrons (clients) pay a small sliding platform fee (7–12%, dropping with rank). The platform is bootstrapped, solo-founded, and built by a US Navy veteran from a kitchen-table operation in Stafford, Virginia. Launching publicly July 30, 2026.

The longer story: most gig platforms in 2026 take 20–30% of every transaction across worker fees and client fees combined. Questyz is built around the thesis that this is structurally indefensible — the worker is the primary value generator, and the platform should be funded by the side that benefits from convenience (the client), not the side doing the work. An RPG-themed progression layer (ranks, quest tiers, gear drops) is the differentiating product wrapper.

04Quotable lines

Feel free to use these verbatim without further attribution check. All quotes are from Jeff Y., Founder of Questyz, unless otherwise noted.

"The gig-economy fee structure has gotten indefensible. Workers are paying 15–20% to the platform plus 15.3% in self-employment tax — they're losing nearly a third of what they generate before they even cover gas, equipment, or time between gigs. Someone had to build the alternative." — Jeff Y., Founder of Questyz
"I'm not trying to beat TaskRabbit on scale. I can't. I'm trying to beat it on math. The platform that takes less wins the workers, and the workers are the platform." — Jeff Y., Founder of Questyz
"Every existing marketplace has VC math baked into the fee structure. They have to extract a certain margin to justify their last valuation. Bootstrapping means I can make a fee structure that's actually fair to workers, because I don't have a board to answer to." — Jeff Y., Founder of Questyz
"The Navy taught me that systems either work for the people inside them or they don't. The gig platforms don't, and the workers know it. Questyz is built on the assumption that the worker is the most important person in the transaction — and the fee model has to reflect that." — Jeff Y., Founder of Questyz
